  • Khartoum International Community School (KICS) is part of the DAL group, and like all other DAL enterprises, is of a very high international standard.  The school operates the International Baccalaureate (IB) system, starting at age three.  Each year group operates two streams with between 15 and 20 children in each class, taught by one IBO certified teacher and one support teacher (only in the younger age groups).  Fees are between US$10,000 and US$15,000 a year.  Visit: www.kicssudan.sd for more information.

  • Khartoum American School celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2007.   The student body of 225 students come from over 40 different nations.  The curriculum of the school is international in scope and programs are offered from Nursery (2 yrs old) through High School.  Class sizes range from 15-20 students.  KAS also has a strong English-as-Second Language (ESL) program for students who need extra support in English language.     At the High School level, qualified students may take Advanced Placement (AP) courses which are university-level courses culminating in externally-graded exams.  KAS graduates have been accepted at leading universities in the USA, Canada, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.  The school is fully accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (USA) and a Full Member of the Council of International Schools (UK).  Fees range from US$4,000-US$12,000 per year. Visit: www.krtams.org for more information.
