Schools
The
private schools in Khartoum are of a very high quality; however fees
are of an equally high cost. The following is a list of a few of
the schools in Khartoum:

Gina’s
Nursery for children between two and three years old.
Mrs Gina, six support teachers and a large amount of top quality
equipment entertain 20 pre-school children. Demand for the
school is high so book as soon as you can. The year starts in
August and ends in April, with a four week break in December and
January. The nursery day starts at 0800 and ends at 1200.

Khartoum International Community School (KICS) is part of
the DAL group, and like all other DAL enterprises, is of a very
high international standard. The school operates the
International Baccalaureate (IB) system, starting at age three.
Each year group operates two streams with between 15 and 20
children in each class, taught by one IBO certified teacher and
one support teacher (only in the younger age groups). Fees are

Khartoum American School celebrates its 50th anniversary
in 2007. The student body of 225 students come from over 40
different nations. The curriculum of the school is
international in scope and programs are offered from Nursery (2
yrs old) through High School. Class sizes range from 15-20
students. KAS also has a strong English-as-Second Language
(ESL) program for students who need extra support in English
language. At the High School level, qualified students may
take Advanced Placement (AP) courses which are university-level
courses culminating in externally-graded exams. KAS graduates
have been accepted at leading universities in the USA, Canada,
Europe, Asia and the Middle East. The school is fully
accredited by the Middle States Association of Schools and
Colleges (USA) and a Full Member of the Council of International
Schools (UK). Fees range from US$4,000-US$12,000 per year.

Unity High School Khartoum has a Christian foundation. The
school, for boys and girls aged four to 18, teaches the English
National Curriculum with local modification to cover Arabic
language and Islamic and Christian Religious Studies, leading to
